Minimum stock level and mail alert

Hi experts,

               I have stocks 20 qty in my warehouse. i always maintain my stock 10 qty by default. by mistake i sold 12 qty in sales order to customer. what will happen? if want to get alert means what should i do??

and Is there any possibilities to do PO automatically? Can i get a mail that time??
